Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) rushed a male cyclist to a medical facility after a collision with a vehicle on Thursday.

An SLFS release disclosed that the incident occurred on the Sir Julian Hunte Highway.

The emergency crew learned of the collision at 10:36 pm and, on arrival, found a conscious, alert victim lying on the road complaining of pain in his upper right extremity.

The responders provided emergency medical care and transported him to a medical facility for further treatment.
