Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has accepted an invitation to address Saint Lucian citizens at a Diaspora Meeting on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in Brooklyn, New York.
The event, hosted by the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York, will also feature remarks from the Minister for External Affairs, Hon. Alva Baptiste. The meeting aims to update Saint Lucians on the developments back home.
Following this engagement, Prime Minister Pierre will travel to Mexico, where he has accepted an invitation to attend the inauguration of President-Elect Her Excellency Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo on October 1, 2024.
During the Prime Minister’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, Hon. Dr Ernest Hilaire, will act as Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Development and the Youth Economy and Minister for Justice and National Security from September 28, 2024, to October 5, 2024.
