The bloody violence that has been plaguing Saint Lucia continued on Saturday when a man sustained multiple lacerations after a known assailant chopped him several times at Morne Serpent, Gros Islet.
The motive for the attack, which left the thirty-eight-year-old community resident bleeding profusely from the lacerations to his head and arms, was unclear.
After learning of the incident at about 2:45 a.m., the Gros Islet fire station dispatched an ambulance, which transported the injured man to the OKEU Hospital.
He was stable en route to the medical facility.
