Artificial intelligence continues to make its way into today’s society. Web development and software company, Orbtronics, is gearing up to host an Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Course for the youth.
The company says the event will be a free, hands-on educational programme designed to foster AI innovation among young learners.
The course will run from December 16th to December 21st at two locations: Beanefield Comprehensive Secondary School and Castries Comprehensive Secondary School. Sessions will be held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including Saturday.
Anna Kaye Boodho, Operations Manager at Orbtronics, shared her excitement about the programme, highlighting that it’s design is for students with some background in Python or AI, especially those who have previously engaged with company initiatives.
Boodho explained that the course will wrap up with an internal hackathon, giving students a chance to put their new skills to the test by creating innovative solutions to tackle both local and global challenges.
“The programme focuses on critical thinking and problem-solving skills,” Boodho emphasised. “Participants will transition from being mere users of AI to innovators who can integrate AI into their own projects.”
Beyond the course, students will gain access to the Orbtronics Education Community, where they can find job opportunities, competitions, and ongoing learning resources. Boodho hinted at future surprises for participants, underscoring the long-term benefits of joining the programme.
