The match was played in front of an enthusiastic crowd, with both home and away fans cheering. Khary Pierre returned to Saint Lucia to play against his former team for the first time.Despite losing the toss, the Kings reached a solid 51 for 2 during the rain-interrupted fielding restrictions. Run scoring slowed in the middle overs, and the team were 76/4 at the halfway stage as economical bowling by the Warriors made headway difficult. The Kings had very few high-scoring overs and eventually got to 151.
