Emmanuel sets new Under-18 record in Oregon

The World Athletics Under-20 Championships Oregon 26 began Wednesday morning at Hayward Field in Eugene. Hundreds of young athletes from around the world are competing for top spots in their age groups. One of them is Saint Lucia's Jady Emmanuel.Emmanuel, who won two CARIFTA Under-17 titles in 2025 and the 2026 ANOCES/OECS senior 100m gold, ran the second-fastest time in the women's 100m preliminaries. She also broke her own national Under-18 record.
