Former Commonwealth Games competitor Makeba Alcide is back at the latest edition of the multisport event, but she is not at Glasgow 2026 to run, jump, or throw. Rather, the three-sport athlete is a member of the Commonwealth Sports Athlete Advisory Commission, for whom she was an official flagbearer during Thursday's opening ceremony at the OVO Hydro.
