Jamaican-American artist Klassik won the “Dennery Segment Song of the Year” award for his hit Dansa at the fourth Caribbean Music Awards – the first time the ceremony took place in the Caribbean.The show was held last weekend in Trinidad & Tobago and introduced new categories, including the Saint Lucian-born genre Dennery segment. Klassik won against strong nominees like Blackboy’s Clap, Hollywood HP and Ricky T’s Freak Out and Dezral & Jardel’s The Car.
