When the 2025 edition of the Saint Lucia Basketball Federation’s Preseason Invitational Tournament got underway on Thursday evening at the Beausejour Gymnasium, there were wins for Soufrière and 767 Allstarz, over Morne Fortune Gladiators and Bonne Terre Blazers.
The defending champions of this tournament, 767 Allstarz from Dominica won 73-62 over Bonne Terre Blazers. Shamar Felicite netted 19 points, and Sherun Williams 18, leading four Dominicans in double figures. Williams added 10 rebounds, Abdul Sanderson pulled down 10, and Felicite nine.
In the opening matchup, 2024 KFC National Basketball League champions Soufrière defeated Morne Fortune Gladiators 75-52.
On Friday night, the action continues at Beausejour, Soufrière facing Bonne Terre from 6:30 p.m., and 767 Allstarz meeting Morne Fortune Gladiators. Saturday will see Bonne Terre versus Morne Fortune, and Soufrière clashing with 767 SC Allstarz.
