A Shaquille Degazon double gave La Clery a winning start on the opening day of the Caribbean Football Union's Club Shield competition. They beat Roaring Lions 2-1 at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad & Tobago, to advance from the Round of 32.The two-time Saint Lucia Semi-Professional Football League champions began their campaign on Thursday against Anguilla's top team and showed their quality early. La Clery created several chances. Degazon scored first from the penalty spot in the 16th minute after Dante Fitz was fouled.
