A woman from La Croix has been charged in connection with the possession of 5.38 kg of suspected cannabis, discovered during a drug interception at Port Castries on October 29, 2025. The shipment carried an estimated street value of EC$161,000. Kermisha Florent was arrested on site, granted $14,000 bail when she appeared before the First District Court on November 3, 2025, and is scheduled to reappear in court on December 9.
