“We Are Just Getting Started” – Pierre On Government Initiatives

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has expressed gratitude for the support the work of his government has received while detailing his administration’s achievements over the past year.

Pierre listed several initiatives he described as a ‘snippet’ of his administration’s achievements over the last year.

Among them were:

*66.67% increase in fuel rebate for fisherfolk
*$1 million compensation package to farmers affected by Winera boxing shortage
* Implementation of The Minimum Livable Wage, increasing salaries of over 13,000 people.
* Increase in NIC minimum pensions from $300 to $500 monthly.

The Prime Minister also mentioned 430, 000 for registered fisherfolk affected by Hurricane Beryl, a $1000 stipend for student nurses, and securing funding for completing St. Jude Hospital and the renovation of the George Odlum Stadium.

Pierre declared that the construction of ‘mega investment projects’ in 2025 will continue to drive economic successes and provide further employment for the people.

“I look forward to delivering to the people of Saint Lucia,” he stated.
