Teenage Suspect Charged In Melchizedek Tixcy Murder

On Wednesday July 31, 2024, at Blanchard Desruisseaux, thirteen-year-old Melchizedek Gilbert Tixcy of Blanchard, Desruisseaux, was shot and killed.

The Major Crimes Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLF) led the investigations into the circumstances surrounding this homicide.

On Friday August 2, 2024, Officers attached to the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) arrested eighteen-year-old Markaley Simeon of Blanchard, Desruisseaux on suspicion of committing the Murder of  Melchizedek Gilbert Tixcy.

On Thursday August 8, 2024, Major Crimes Unit’s detectives formally cautioned and charged Markaley Simeon for the causing the death of Melchizedek Gilbert Tixcy.

Markaley Simeon was escorted to the Magistrate’s Court for a bail hearing, after which he was remanded in custody.
