St. Lucia Football Association Continues Development Of Coaches – St. Lucia Times

The St. Lucia Football Association Inc. continues its development of Coaches and CoachingEducation, when it hosts its 5th C LICENCE Course from Friday 15th  December to Monday the 18th at its headquarters in La Clery.

This Course will be held for Head Coaches of  District Teams as well as clubs in the first andsecond Division….Special inclusion has been made for coaches who are running the SLFA’sElite Zonal Centres.

The significance of this course is that it will be used as an audit, so that CONCACAF can make a determination as to whether St. Lucia is ready to host its own C-LICENCE Coaching Course.

St. Lucia has since submitted its letter of intent to CONCACAF as well as all other necessarydocumentation that is required.

Interestingly, two of SLFA’s Coach Educators, Technical Director Ces Podd and Head of Coach Education, Mr. Emmanuel Bellas, recently attended the 1st CONCACAF COACHEDUCATION CONFERENCE from December 12- 13 in Miami.

Much of the discussion at that conference was specific to preparation of the MemberAssociations readiness to sign onto the Coaching Convention.

To date, St. Lucia now has six Coach Educators and all six will be involved in the delivery of the Course.

Along with Ces Podd, Solomon Alexander and Emmanuel Bellas, the other Coach Educators are Sabbatus Hunte, Terrance Caroo and John Sealy.

Meanwhile, Matches continued in the SLFA Inc. Island Cup on Tuesday 12th December.

In Super Cup action at the Micoud Playing Field Anse La Raye defeated Mon Repos 6 – 0, with goals from Mc Arthur Louise in the 14th , 20th , 26th & 31st , min; Javon Wilson 58th and Shanic John 64th min.
