Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) emergency personnel transported six people to the hospital after road incidents at Bois D’Orange and Sarrot.
At about 10:58 pm on Friday, the emergency responders learned of a three-vehicle collision at Bois D’Orange, resulting in injuries to three individuals.
The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
On Saturday morning, the SLFS transported three more people to the hospital after a vehicle ran off the road at Sarrot.
The trio sustained what appeared to be minor bodily injuries.
The latest road incidents followed the launch of a new road safety campaign by the Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport.
The campaign comprises Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in English and Saint Lucian Kweyol, urging road users to exercise caution and appealing to motorists to be considerate.
