The final four teams have been decided in the 2025 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Schools’ Under-19 50-Over Boys’ Cricket Tournament.

On Friday, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College booked their spot with another superb batting performance. The Saint Lucia Sports Academy, Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School, and Choiseul Secondary School had previously lined up their semifinal places.

SALCC played Soufrière Comprehensive Secondary School in the last quarterfinal at the Gros Islet Playing Field. Winning the toss, the College boys opted to bat in a match reduced to 35 overs per side. They rang up an imposing total of 474-5, behind centuries from Khan Elcock and Leon Alexander.

Windward Islands Under-19 player and West Indies hopeful Elcock hit 193 off only 94 balls, inclusive of 27 fours and 10 sixes. Former Windward Islands Under-15 player Alexander was even more destructive. He made 120, facing only 57 legal deliveries, and crossing the boundary for 10 fours and 10 sixes.

Kerman Lafeuille took 2-86 and Samuel Alexander 2-108 for the Sulphur City team.

Zhanni James ran through the Soufrière top order with three wickets for duck within the first four overs. SCSS were eventually bowled out for 74 in 11 overs. Lower-order resistance from Kerman Lafeuille (30) did little to add a gloss to the reply.

Zhanni Joseph finished on 5-29 with the ball. Darvin Forde added 3-37, and Yulieski  Gustave helped clean up the tail with figures of 2-2, as SALCC won by 400 run.

Earlier in the week, the Sports Academy beat Corinth Secondary by 10 wickets at the Gros Islet Playing Field. Corinth Secondary were dismissed for 58 in 17 overs, Clint Dickson 5-19 in six overs, Jashun Mitchel 3-4 in 3.5 overs, Nathaniel Joseph 2-12 in 4 overs. Zinakki Louis (24 not out) and Sheldon Willie (18 not out) made light work of the run chase, surpassing the total in just five overs.
