Saint Lucian Murdered in New York; 61-Year-Old Man Charged

A 61-year-old man in the United States has been charged with the murder of Saint Lucian Jahfari Joseph in Plattsburgh, New York.

Joseph, 40, who lived in Plattsburgh, was reported missing on December 29, 2024.

Following investigations, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Tuesday, leading to the arrest of Timothy Timmons, who was charged with second-degree murder.

According to investigators, Timmons allegedly killed Joseph on the same night he went missing.

He was arraigned in Peru Town Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail.

“This does not appear to be a random act of violence, and there is no ongoing threat to the community,” the New York State Police stated.
