The Saint Lucia Kings will begin their title defence in the 2025 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL), with the official tournament window running from Thursday, August 14, to Sunday, September 21. The final match will once again take place in Guyana.

A key consideration in setting the dates was the effort by CPL and Cricket West Indies (CWI) to avoid any scheduling conflicts, to ensure that the region’s best talent can showcase their skills for their West Indian-based franchises or the Men in Maroon without interruption.

Pete Russell, CEO of the CPL, highlighted this, stating: “We are pleased to have once again worked with Cricket West Indies (CWI) to find a window that allows the very best players from across the region to take part in the CPL. The 2024 season was our most successful to date, and we are looking forward to building on that success in 2025.”

Newly appointed CWI Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer Lynford Inverary emphasised the integral role of CPL players in talent development and pledged the regional cricketing authority’s commitment to supporting the now 13-year-old tournament.

“We are delighted to confirm the 2025 CPL window. While CWI continues to take a leading role in shaping our overall cricket calendar, the CPL remains a key part of our cricketing ecosystem, playing an important role in the development and promotion of the game throughout the Caribbean,” he said. “Our collaboration with CPL ensures that the best talent will be on display while avoiding any conflicts with international cricket.”

The official fixture list is expected to be revealed later.
