The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) continued its community outreach last week, distributing grocery hampers and vouchers to residents in the North of the Island.

Sixteen residents received grocery vouchers during a Gros-Islet Human Resource Centre ceremony organised by the Gros Islet Police Station.

The team then visited those with limited mobility, continuing the distribution of hampers and vouchers to recipients whom the Gros-Islet Caregivers Team from the Ministry of Social Transformation and the local school helped identify.

Eighteen residents received vouchers, and 16 hampers were delivered due to what the police described as their longstanding partnership with private and public sector supporters.

The partners included the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, which donated grocery vouchers, Admac Limited, Tenderoni Foods Inc., Ramco Plastics LTD, CARITAS, K & M Services, Rainforest Foods, and Woman Police Constable 121, Kertisha Charles, who also provided grocery items.

Eldric Bernard, Assistant Superintendent of Police for the Gros Islet/Babonneau sub-division, extended heartfelt thanks to the partners for their continued support, especially the sponsors who made the distribution possible.

Bernard also encouraged new partners to get involved in the annual initiative.
