The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is seeking the public’s assistance as it investigates last weekend’s homicide of 26-year-old Nyim Calender, alias “Sunshine”, of Marc, Bexon in Castries.

In a statement on Monday, the RSLPF said it was actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Calender’s death and asked anyone with information related to this case to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-3770 or the Crime Hotline, 555, to give an anonymous tip.

Last Saturday, December 28, at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers from the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries responded to a report of a homicide at Marc, Bexon. Upon arrival, detectives found Calender’s lifeless body with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the torso and head.

Calender, a resident of the area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
