Passenger Shot As Goods Vehicle Robbed At Gunpoint

Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) emergency responders rushed a man to the OKEU Hospital after he sustained a gunshot injury to the thigh during a robbery at Belair, Castries.

According to reports, the man was shot during a goods vehicle robbery. He was a passenger in the vehicle.

SLFS responders rushed to the scene after learning of the incident at about 4:15 pm, treated the patient, and transported him to the OKEU Hospital.

He was in stable condition at the time, but It was not immediately clear whether any items or cash were stolen.

Police are investigating the incident.
