Crime Prevention Minister, Jeremiah Norbert, has pledged his support for government interventions to fight crime, including social programme investments.
Norbert, a former police officer, has also supported allocating resources to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF).
“Nationally, I will continue to support the efforts of the Government to increase our resource stock for the police force to fight crime while investing exponentially in our crime prevention strategies, such as our social programs,” the Micoud North MP stated.
His remarks came in a Facebook post on Friday.
In addition to his comments on crime, Norbert, responsible for persons with disabilities, pledged to continue championing their rights nationally amid efforts towards the first people living with disabilities policy.
He also committed to continue representing the people of Micoud North by developing the constituency’s infrastructure and human resource capabilities to the fullest extent.
” I will continue to create an environment whereby everyone believes that they can reach their fullest potential and the resources to achieve it will be provided,” Norbert stated.
He revealed that in the coming weeks, he would unveil ‘a suite of projects that we’re working on in 2025!’
