A man who allegedly drove his vehicle into a construction site following a confrontation with workers has been granted bail of $35,000 cash or a suitable surety on four charges.
Noel Nugent, a resident of Bella Rosa, Gros Islet, was formally charged on December 11 with dangerous driving, damage to property, harm, and grievous harm.
He appeared in the First District Court for a bail hearing, where he was granted pretrial release. His driver’s licence was suspended pending the outcome of the case.
Two construction workers were injured in the incident at Rodney Heights, Gros Islet, on December 5, which was captured on camera.
The incident occurred near a school, shortly after classes were dismissed. The school has since promised to provide counselling and debriefing sessions for students who may have been traumatised by the event.
