Police are investigating the fatal assault of an elderly man in Industry, Choiseul, on Thursday.
Ken Joseph Ismael of La Pointe, Choiseul died after being struck in the head.
According to a statement from the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, officers from the Choiseul Police Station responded to a report around 2:50 p.m. When they got to the scene, they found an unresponsive Ismael with apparent head trauma.
Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service were also dispatched to the scene and attended to the victim. A medical doctor later examined him and confirmed his death.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Choiseul Police Station at 456-3635, the Crime Hotline at 555, or submit tips anonymously through the RSLPF Crime Hotline App, available on the Google Play Store.
