The 18-year-old, who studies at the University of Michigan, is the only swimmer from Saint Lucia at the UBC Aquatic Centre in Vancouver, Canada.Destang swam in the preliminary session at 9:00 a.m. PDT (12:00 noon AST). In Event 2, the Men's 13-18 50m Butterfly, he was seeded 16th with an entry time of 25.16. He finished in 25.02. In Event 6, the 100m Backstroke, he was seeded 28th with a time of 59.99 and placed 25th with a time of 59.32.
