‘Bamboo’ Charged For Robbery With A Fake Gun – St. Lucia Times

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024 about 12:15pm, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, Castries received a report of a Robbery which occurred at Bocage, Castries.

The report was promptly responded to by the officers, who initiated an investigation.

Their diligent efforts resulted in the arrest of a suspect, who has been identified as Mervin Amedee, also known as Bamboo, a fifty-four year-old (54) resident of La Croix, Babonneau. The imitation firearm was also recovered.

On Thursday, January 11, 2024 Mervin Amedee was charged for the offences of Robbery and Using Imitation Firearm to Commit Robbery.

He was escorted to the First District Court in Castries for the purpose of bail. The court set bail at fifteen thousand dollars (XCD15000.00) cash, suitable surety or land documents.
