Sandals Resorts is looking to enhance its employee benefits package, according to Managing Director, Winston Anderson.
Noting that Sandals Resorts is about more than just luxurious hotels and tourism, Anderson says part of the company’s brand involves taking care of its employees. One of these benefits, he says, is ensuring employees pay less money for essential services.
“I mentioned the PALM Pass which was identified. And what that is in a nutshell, it’s creating partnerships with a number of suppliers, and business places to ensure that we’re able to create an opportunity for team members to have better benefits. So if they go to the supermarket, if they go to the doctor, if they go to the gym, they’re able to access items at a low price,” he explains.
Ensuring employees have access to a balanced diet, exercise and other key life essentials will be part of the company’s expanded benefits programme.
“We’re embarking on a massive journey of creating a more balanced diet for team members coupled with exercise and wellness. So we will see a number of wellness programmes unfolding for team members, counselling, access to counselling, medical benefits and in fact bringing those health benefits and properties,” he adds.
Anderson says benefits will also include access to low-interest loans designed to provide meaningful support to staff as they navigate the rising cost of living.
