‘Paps’ Granted $20,000 Bail For Illegal Firearm

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, about 7:00 a.m. Officers attached to the Marchand and Central Police Station encountered a male suspect during the course of joint patrols within the Marchand community.

The male, who was confronted by officers at the entrance of the George Charles Boulevard, was searched and a .380 Glock Pistol was seized.

It was verified that he was not licensed to carry a firearm and as a consequence he was arrested.

Marvin Selassie Walters Aka “Paps”, a forty-eight (48) year old resident of Rock Hall, Castries, was formally charged for unlawfully being in Possession of a Firearm.

He was escorted before the First District Court for bail, where he was granted bail in the sum of Twenty Thousand dollars ($20,000) cash or suitable surety.
